It is not in vain that the engraving of the End of the Mast of this beautiful viola reminds us of figureheads of old ships that, enveloped in melancholy mermaid songs, cut through mythical oceans alone.

 

The perishable existence of the brown leaves appear in contrast to the imperishableness of the music expressed in the sheet music.

 

It is the permanence of the work of art versus the extinct life of the artist.

María José Aguilar is born in 1964 in the city of Seville, Spain.

From her earliest age she demonstrates artistic inclination and abilities.

She grow up admiring great masters of the History of Painting, especially the Spanish Baroque painters like Murillo, Velázquez, Zurbarán, Valdés Leal ... those that would have a first and great influence on her.
